Psychology and Psychotherapy: Theory Research and Practice (formerly TheBritish Journal of Medical Psychology) is an international scientific journal with a focus on the psychological aspects of mental health difficulties and well-being, and psychological problems and their psychological treatments including:

We welcome submissions from mental health professionals and researchers from all relevant professional backgrounds. For specific submission requirements, please view the Notes for Contributors.

Submission of systematic reviews and other research reports which support evidence-based practice are also welcomed, as are relevant high quality analogue studies.

Clinical or case studies will not normally be considered except where they illustrate particularly unusual forms of psychopathology or innovative forms of therapy and meet scientific criteria through appropriate use of single case experimental designs.
