Please see How to Subscribe for further details.If you are paying by credit or debit card, your card company will normally convert your payment to the appropriate currency automatically, but there may be a small charge for this.
I would like to purchase an individual article. Is this possible?Yes. Non-subscribers can purchase electronic copies of articles published from 1999 onwards by browsing to the article they require and entering their credit or debit card details when requested. Society members are eligible for significantly discounted rates on subscriptions and may find it worthwhile subscribing even if they only require two or three recent articles from a particular journal.
Articles published prior to 1999 can normally be obtained from Senate House Library if you are a member of the Society or via the British Library Document Supply Service for non-members. Is it possible to order back issues of a journal?Yes. The British Psychological Society holds hard copy back issues from the current and previous two years. Older issues and volumes are held by the Periodicals Service Company (PSC), to whom all orders and enquiries should be addressed. Unfortunately however, they are unable to supply individual articles.
As a member of the Society, do I receive free access to the Society's journals?Unfortunately, no. However, members are eligible to subscribe at substantially discounted rates. Any profit which the Society makes from its journals operations are returned to the Society to help finance other membership services and keep membership fees down.
Most grades of Society membership are entitled to receive the Society's monthly magazine, The Psychologist, free of charge. I currently subscribe to one or more journals. Can I access them online?Yes. Journal subscribers get free online access to the current year, back issues from 1999 onwards and all 'in-press' articles. New subscribers must register with our online content provider, Ingenta, to enable their online access. Please see the online access FAQs for details. I am a current subscriber to one or more journals. How do I update the address to which my journal(s) are sent?Members of the Society should contact the Society's Subscriptions Team (tel: +44 (0)116 252 9537; e-mail: subscriptions@bps.org.uk). Non-members need to contact our distributors, Turpin Distribution, or fill out the change of address form on their website. The latest issue of the journal that I am subscribed to has not arrived. What should I do?Please check the dispatch dates for the journal. If you have still not received the journal 7 days after the dispatch date (14 days if you are outside the UK), please follow the instructions on the Missing Issue Claims page. I haven't found the answer I was looking for.
