BPS Journals now available to developing and emerging countries
The Journals Team is delighted to be working with the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP) to make our journals available to institutions in developing and emerging countries that have not previously been able to pay the subscriptions.
INASP’s vision is that "Effective access to, use, validation and communication of information are key drivers of democracy, good governance and poverty reduction." They implement various programmes designed for stakeholders engaged in all stages of the research communication cycle, with activities targeted to the needs of researchers, editors, national publishers, and librarians as well as ICT professionals. We are participating in the Programme for the Enhancement of Research Information (PERii) by providing online access to our journals in certain countries. The first institution to register for access was the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Kenya and since then seventy institutions in seventeen different countries have registered, with this number still growing. If your institution has not yet registered, you can do so on the PERii web page.
We hope that our journals will prove to be a valuable resource and we look forward to working further with INASP.
